It has been really rough lately. Last night at dinner, we looked out the window and could see just how massive the waves had gotten. It is almost to the point that you have to have one hand on the ship at all times, just to keep your balance. However, this should pass after we get to japan, which I might add, is the day after tomorrow.
I have been doing really good entertaining myself for the most part. I am on my third book, I play chess and solitaire. But those things are getting old, and I am running out of things to do. I never truly knew how dependent I was on my shows and movies until now. Every time I got back to my cabin, I immediately grab the controller to put on Netflix. Obviously, that doesn’t work. Then, they announced that we can check out movies from the reception desk. I got so excited, I quickly went to look at the movies available. They have some nice ones like, peter pan, the little mermaid, lord of the rings, and others. Then I come to the realization that neither I nor my cabinmate has a laptop with a CD port. So I have access to movies, with no way to watch them. That is just a massive tease if you ask me.
I would also like to point out that I have noticed I have become a bit like a vegetarian. They usually have fish, and one meat, usually chicken or pork, every day at dinner. But the meat is often covered in sauces. Now, I have eaten some of them, such as the Hawaiian pork and pineapples, but there are others that have Cajun, curry, and spicy in the description, and so those I stay away from.
Again today, we turn our clocks back another hour. It is insanely difficult to sleep later than 6, when we keep gaining an hour every day. I have my alarm set for 7:30, and it has only gone off twice since we left Ensenada, because we always wake up before it.
