Three Down One to Go

Tomorrow is the last day of Session 3. We have to take an exam, and after that my Conservation Biology class will be finished. While I did not enjoy all aspects of this class, especially the parts where I was a blood bank for mosquitoes and horseflies, I still think it was an important class for me to take. I learned several trapping and marking techniques, failures and successes of conservation efforts, identification of plants, and the struggles and solutions associated with communicating with different people and communities about sensitive subjects. Also an important note, I was able to meet a few people who are actively working, or even supervising, in the field, which expands my network in the biology field.

Next session is Marine Ecology. This is the only class East Stroudsburg University requires us to take at the field station, the other three are up to us. I suspect there will be more species identification in this class. I am hoping that my previous two sessions that were big on species identification will save me some time.

Also, since this is the end of this session, this weekend is in between classes. My friend and I will be driving about 40 minutes south to go see the new Lion King live action in theaters tomorrow evening. Then, Saturday morning, we will driving up to Ocean City for the day. Reaction to the movie and updates about ocean city to come later.
