Getting the hang of things

Today was a lot better.

For class, we went out to the marsh again, but this time we did not go in. We used plankton nets to collect sample of... well... plankton. For non-biology people, plankton is basically all the living things in the water that flow with the current, unable to swim against it. It was really fun, especially because we caught two comb jellies! We brought the samples back to the lab and identified what we could find. We left for dinner and all decided to return for the rest of our classifications on another day. We have an assignment due Sunday, so we are all trying to get that done. It isn't hard, it just takes some time.

Meals today:

Breakfast - pancakes

Lunch - burgers, onion rings, and nacho bar

Dinner - stuffed shells and garlic bread

I have had multiple people tell me that the food here was terrible, but so far I think it is fine. It isn't mom's but it isn't bad.

Tomorrow is a boat trip to, I am going to assume, collect more samples for identification.
